Dear Readers,

I wanted to start by thanking each of you for following Chaise Lounge over the past two and half years. Knowing that hundreds of people were reading my musings each month gave me a big boost as the pandemic raged around us. I’ve enjoyed reading and researching and writing for you. Now, though, it is time for me to take a break from writing this newsletter on a regular basis.

I was approached by my old school to return, and I have done so in an administrative capacity. I had never imagined that I would return to education when I retired, but with all of the schools experiencing staffing shortages, I wanted to do my part to be helpful to the children. While the work is part-time, when I combine it with my community advocacy activities, I realized that something had to give.

So, while I will no longer be publishing on a regular schedule, I will still occasionally write and post here. I hope that you will maintain your subscription and stay connected. I don’t know what the future holds (who does?), but once the school year is over in June, I imagine I will get back to writing on a more regular basis.

Thank you again for following my work! It’s been a blast learning about the world with you!
